About the artist
Fabri Fibra, stage name of Fabrizio Tarducci, is an Italian rapper from Senigallia widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Italian hip-hop. He began in the underground rap scene of the mid-1990s under earlier aliases, working within various crews before establishing himself as a solo artist in the early 2000s, notably with the album Turbe Giovanili produced by Neffa.
His 2004 album Mr. Simpatia marked a turning point, cementing his reputation for sharp, provocative, and often satirical lyrics that critiqued Italian society, mainstream culture, and the music industry itself. After signing with a major label, he released Tradimento, which further established him as one of the most commercially and critically important artists in Italian rap history, known for songs like «Stavo pensando a te» and «Vip In Trip».
Over a long career spanning multiple studio albums, Fabri Fibra has remained a central figure in Italian rap, respected for his biting wit, willingness to court controversy, and consistent evolution alongside the genre, including collaborations with a wide range of Italian artists and a brief stint running his own record label.
