Eypio

Eypio, born Abdurrahim Akça on February 2, 1983 in Konya, Turkey, is a Turkish rapper of Turkmen descent whose family had emigrated from Afghanistan. He grew up in the Zeytinburnu district of Istanbul before moving to the Netherlands in 2002, where he began his recording career under the name A.P.O. His early releases, including the A.P.O EP and later «RapFabriek» and «Hırsız Var», were made during his years abroad before he returned to Turkey.

Back in Turkey, Eypio released «Underground» and became a recognizable figure in the Turkish rap scene, later broadening his sound toward melodic, pop-inflected hip-hop. He collaborated with artists such as Fuat, appearing as a guest on the «Kalbüm» album, and contributed to film soundtracks including a duet with Sultana. His music blends emotional, often melancholic songwriting with rap delivery, a style reflected in tracks like «Deli Dediler» and «Günah Benim».

Eypio built his own studio in Istanbul and became known for prolific output and a distinct, sentiment-driven approach within Turkish rap, standing apart from more aggressive street-rap contemporaries. Songs such as «Yeraltı», «Sana Rağmen», and «Kalbini Verdin» remain among his best-known work, cementing his place as a veteran voice bridging diaspora experience and mainstream Turkish hip-hop.
