Ex Battalion

Ex Battalion, often abbreviated Ex B, is a Filipino hip-hop collective from Muntinlupa City in the Philippines. Formed with roots tracing back to the mid-2010s, the group became one of the defining acts of the modern Pinoy hip-hop movement, blending trap-influenced beats with Tagalog and Taglish lyricism aimed at a young, social-media-savvy audience.

The collective's breakthrough came with "Hayaan Mo Sila," a song that became a viral phenomenon across Philippine social platforms and charted on the Billboard Philippines Top 20. That track, alongside singles like "SouthBoys" and "Follow My Lead," helped push a new, more melodic and pop-inflected style of Filipino rap into the mainstream, moving away from older boom-bap conventions.

Over the years the roster has included members such as Skusta Clee, Flow G, John Roa, Brando, Emcee Rhenn, and King Badger, with founder Honcho credited for assembling the group before reportedly departing in 2022. Several members have since built notable solo careers while remaining associated with the Ex Battalion name, cementing the collective's role as a launching pad for a generation of Filipino rap and R&B artists.
