EPIK HIGH (에픽하이)

Epik High is a South Korean alternative hip-hop group formed in Seoul in 2001, consisting of rapper and producer Tablo, rapper Mithra Jin and DJ/producer Tukutz. The group emerged from Korea's underground hip-hop scene, with Tablo and Mithra Jin connecting through the Movement crew before joining forces with Tukutz, already well known as a DJ. Tablo's studies in the US kept the group's early collaboration partly long-distance while they built their debut material.

Epik High became known for blending hip-hop with pop, rock, R&B and electronic elements across their albums, resisting a single genre label under a self-described “no genre, just music” philosophy. Their lyrics often explore introspective, emotional and socially conscious themes, earning their music the description of “urban poetry,” and they have worked with a wide range of Korean pop and hip-hop artists over the years, helping bridge underground rap and mainstream K-pop audiences.

Among their best-known songs are «EYES, NOSE, LIPS», «Born Hater», «Love Story» and «Can You Hear My Heart», alongside deep cuts like «No Thanxxx» and «Home Is Far Away». Their catalogue spans many studio albums, and the group remains one of the most influential and long-running acts in Korean hip-hop.
