About the artist
Enemy is a German rapper from Hannover whose music blends rap with R&B, pop and rock influences into a melodic, often melancholic style. Alongside his rap career he has spoken about studying medicine, and his early releases were tied to a close circle he called «Camorra», including his producer ProDK. He came up through the Generation Azzlack label, releasing the mixtape Portami Via in 2018 and his debut album Lebendig begraben in 2019, before leaving the label in early 2020 to found his own imprint, GMG Music.
His sound sits at the emotional end of German street rap, favoring sung hooks, atmospheric production and confessional lyrics over aggressive delivery, which set him apart within the Azzlack roster and helped him build a dedicated audience beyond the label's core fanbase. Songs like «Nimm mich mit», «Ich glaube nicht» and «Immer wenn es regnet» reflect this melodic, introspective approach, while tracks such as «Simonetta Vespucci» and «Bella» lean into more romantic, Italian-flavored song titles that recur through his catalog.
After founding GMG Music, Enemy announced his second studio album, Stunde Null, released on 2 April 2021, marking his transition to full creative independence. His catalog continued to expand with releases like «Azizam» and «Arztlack», maintaining the blend of rap songwriting and pop sensibility that defines his output.
