Emis Killa, born Emiliano Rudolf Giambelli on November 14, 1989, in Vimercate, Italy, is one of the most recognizable voices in Italian rap. He started out competing in freestyle battles, winning the Tecniche Perfette contest in 2007, which brought him to wider attention. His 2009 mixtape «Keta Music», released through Blocco Recordz, cemented his reputation as a sharp, technically gifted lyricist within that label's roster.

His major-label debut, «L'erba cattiva» (2012), driven by the hit single «Parole di ghiaccio», turned him into a mainstream star, and the follow-up «Mercurio» (2013) confirmed his commercial staying power. Beyond music, he hosted the radio show One Two One Two on Radio Deejay and published an autobiography, «Bus 323», the same year.

Emis Killa's style blends aggressive, punchline-driven battle-rap technique with more melodic, pop-leaning hooks, letting him move between hardcore rap credibility and radio-friendly singles.
