Elmo & Patsy

Elmo & Patsy is an American duo, Elmo Shropshire and Patsy Trigg, best remembered for one song that became a permanent fixture of the holiday season: «Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer». Released in the early 1980s, the novelty country tune tells the deadpan, tongue-in-cheek story of a grandmother trampled by Santa's reindeer after wandering outside without her medication, and it grew from a regional curiosity into one of the most-played Christmas songs in the United States.
