ElGrandeToto

ElGrandeToto, born Taha Fahssi in 1997, is a Moroccan rapper originally from Taza who grew up in the Benjdia neighborhood of Casablanca, the city most associated with his career. He began rapping around 2012 after years of practicing hip-hop dance alongside his brother Soufiane Fahssi, who later became his manager. His breakout came in 2016 with «7elmet Ado 1», a track credited with reshaping the sound of Moroccan rap and pushing it toward a harder, more melodic trap-influenced style.

Toto's music blends rap and pop sensibilities, mixing Moroccan Darija with French and drawing on trap production to create anthems that resonate across the Maghreb and beyond. His catalogue includes songs such as «Mghayer», «BLUE LOVE», «STALINE», «Pablo», «Smou7at» and «Étranger», as well as later entries in his signature «7elmet Ado» series. His 2021 debut album «Caméléon» reached the top ten of Spotify's global album chart, an unprecedented feat for a Moroccan artist.

He has become the most-streamed Moroccan artist on Spotify, with hundreds of millions of streams across a global audience, and was recognized as the most-listened-to Arab artist in the MENA region on Spotify in 2022, the same year his track «Hors Série» ranked among the platform's most-streamed songs. His accolades include a Best Hip-Hop/Rap Artist win at the African Entertainment Awards, cementing his status as a leading figure of contemporary North African rap.
