About the artist
Dutchavelli is a British rapper born in Birmingham who moved to Rotterdam, the Netherlands, at a young age before settling in Hackney, East London around age eleven, the neighborhood he calls home to this day. Growing up around the music industry through family connections, he did not initially pursue rap seriously, but his stage name — blending his Dutch-accented English with a nod to Tupac's Makaveli alias — became emblematic of his path into UK rap.
He released his debut single, «New Jack City», in 2016, gradually building a name within the UK drill and street rap scenes. His breakout came with «I Dunno», a collaboration with Tion Wayne and Stormzy that helped introduce him to wider audiences. Tracks such as «Only If You Knew», «Bando Diaries», and its remix showcase his melodic yet street-rooted delivery, blending UK rap cadences with hooks that lean toward R&B-tinged sensibility.
Dutchavelli has continued to collaborate widely across the UK and international scenes, working with artists including GZUZ, M Huncho, and Noizy. His catalogue, featuring songs like «Surely», «Never Really Mine», and «Cool with Me», reflects a versatile approach that moves between hard-edged street narratives and more introspective, romantic material, positioning him as one of the notable voices to emerge from London's East End rap scene.
