Dumbfoundead, born Jonathan Edward Park in Argentina in 1986, grew up in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles after his family emigrated to the United States. He rose to prominence through the West Coast battle rap circuit, becoming one of the most respected names in freestyle battling before shifting his focus to recorded music. His style blends sharp, self-aware wordplay with an easygoing, conversational delivery, often touching on identity, growing up Korean-American, and life in his home neighborhood.
