DUCKWRTH, born Jared Lee on May 13, 1988, is an American rapper and singer from South Central, Los Angeles. Raised on cartoons and drawing, he later studied art in San Francisco before returning to LA and beginning to release music independently in the mid-2010s. His early collaborations with producer Kickdrums, including the single «Supersoaker» and the album Nowhere, helped establish his name before he stepped out fully on his own.

DUCKWRTH built his solo identity with 2016's I'M UUGLY and 2017's An XTRA UUGLY Mixtape, records that fused rap, funk, punk energy, and soulful melody into a genre-blurring sound unlike most of his peers. His breakout moment came with «Start a Riot», featured on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack in 2018, which introduced him to a much wider audience.

He followed that success with the EP THE FALLING MAN in 2019 and has continued releasing music that resists easy categorization, moving fluidly between rap, R&B, rock, and pop. Songs like «MICHUUL.», «I'M DEAD», and «SOPRANO» showcase his flamboyant, theatrical stage presence and eclectic musical instincts, positioning him as one of the more distinctive voices to emerge from LA's alternative rap scene.
