Dub FX

Dub FX is the stage name of Benjamin Stanford, an Australian street performer, beatboxer and producer who builds entire tracks live using only his voice and a loop pedal. Layering bass lines, drum patterns, melodies and vocals in real time, he creates a dense reggae- and dubstep-influenced soundscape that has made him a fixture of busking scenes across Europe and Australia before he became a touring festival act in his own right.

What sets Dub FX apart is the almost total absence of conventional promotion: no radio play, no television exposure, built entirely through street performance videos and word of mouth online. That grassroots approach turned him into one of the more unlikely success stories in independent music, with millions of views accumulated from footage of him performing on city streets. His sound blends dub, drum and bass, and hip-hop influenced vocal techniques into something distinctly his own.
