Doughboyz Cashout

Doughboyz Cashout is a Detroit rap collective built around a family and street bond as much as a musical one, formed by members including Payroll Giovanni, Doughboy Roc, Big Quis and Doughboy Clay. Emerging in the late 2000s and early 2010s Detroit street rap scene, the crew built a devoted local and underground following through mixtapes long before wider recognition caught up.

Their music centers on trap-rooted street narratives: hustling, excess, loyalty, and the day-to-day economics of the streets, delivered over dark, bass-heavy production typical of the Detroit sound of that era. Tracks like «Mob Life», «Da Mob» and «Grind 2 Shine» reflect the crew's mob mentality and shared come-up story, while cuts like «Good Ass Day» show a more laid-back, celebratory side.

Doughboyz Cashout is often cited as one of the foundational crews of the modern Detroit rap underground, paving the way for the city's later wave of street rappers. Individual members, particularly Payroll Giovanni, went on to build notable solo careers while the group's mixtape-era catalog remains a reference point for Detroit's trap sound.
