Don Trip, born Christopher Wallace, is a rapper from Memphis, Tennessee, who began rapping as a teenager and rose through the city's street-rap circuit before breaking into wider recognition. His breakout single «Letter to My Son», a raw, autobiographical track addressed to his son, spread widely online and was later re-released featuring CeeLo Green, driving his profile up and leading to a deal with Interscope Records around 2012, the same year he was named to the XXL Freshman Class.

After parting ways with Interscope, Don Trip found sustained success as an independent artist, most notably through his acclaimed Step Brothers mixtape series made with fellow Memphis-connected rapper Starlito, a partnership defined by easy chemistry and street-level storytelling.
