About the artist
Doe B, born Glenn Thomas Jr. in Montgomery, Alabama, was a rapper who rose within T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records roster in the early 2010s. He built his reputation through mixtapes such as «Trap Life» and «Baby Jesus», earning attention from hip-hop press for a rapid, technically dense delivery and vivid, street-rooted storytelling that set him apart within the Grand Hustle camp.
He appeared prominently on Hustle Gang's debut compilation «G.D.O.D.», working alongside labelmates and helping establish the collective's sound in the years following T.I.'s own commercial peak. Tracks like «Let Me Find Out» and its remix, along with «Why» and «Smile», showcased both his lyrical ability and a knack for hooks that gave his music crossover potential beyond hardcore rap audiences.
Doe B was killed in a shooting in Montgomery in December 2013, at the height of his rising momentum, cutting short a career that many in the industry, including T.I., regarded as one of the most promising in Southern rap at the time. His unreleased and posthumously shared material continued to circulate among fans, and he is remembered as a distinctive voice from the Grand Hustle roster whose potential went largely unrealized.
