DJ SpinKing

DJ SpinKing was born on 30 October 1991 in the Bronx, New York, and raised in New Jersey, giving him a footing in two of the East Coast's most storied hip-hop hubs. He began DJing at seventeen and grew into one of the more road-tested mixtape DJs of his generation, building his name through relentless touring rather than a single breakout single.

His mixtape series charts that rise: 2011's «Hip House» featured Meek Mill, Red Cafe, Maino and Fatman Scoop, while «Hip House 2» paired him with Jeremih and French Montana for the widely circulated «Body Operator». His third project, 2016's «For The Culture», pulled in an even bigger roster including Ty Dolla $ign, 50 Cent, Jeremih, Fetty Wap and French Montana, cementing his standing as a DJ who could consistently attract A-list rap and R&B features.

SpinKing's touring résumé spans more than 35 U.S. states plus a solo European tour, and his industry standing was formally recognized when XXL named him its DJ of the 2013 Freshman Class. Across releases like «Show You», «Dope Boy» and «Radar», his catalogue reflects the mixtape-and-features tradition of East Coast hip-hop and R&B rather than a singular solo-artist sound.
