Disiz, born Sérigne M'Baye Gueye in 1978, is a French rapper from Amiens with Belgian and Senegalese roots. Performing early in his career under the name Disiz la Peste, he emerged in the early 2000s as one of the most distinctive voices in French rap, known for blending sharp, playful wordplay with introspective and socially conscious themes.

He gained wide recognition through appearances on the soundtrack of the film Taxi 2 and with his debut album Le poisson rouge, which spawned hits like «J'pète les plombs» and «Ghetto Sitcom» and achieved major commercial success. His follow-up work continued to explore identity, faith, love and everyday life in France, often shifting between humor and vulnerability in ways that set him apart from more straightforward battle-rap contemporaries.

Over the following two decades Disiz continually reinvented his sound, moving fluidly between rap, pop, rock and R&B influences across different eras of his career, at times performing simply as Disiz rather than under his earlier stage name. Songs like «Mon amour», «Rap Genius» and «Toussa Toussa» reflect this stylistic range, and he remains regarded as one of the more restless and genre-bending figures to come out of the French hip-hop scene.
