About the artist
Dinos, born Jules Jomby on November 30, 1993, is a French rapper who grew up in the Quatre Mille housing estate in La Courneuve, a suburb of Paris. He emerged in the early 2010s with a dense, literary style of writing that set him apart from more commercial French rap, earning early acclaim through EPs like L'Alchimiste and Apparences before releasing his debut album Imany in 2018.
Imany established Dinos as one of the most respected voices in a new generation of French rap, praised for its introspective lyrics and unconventional song structures. He followed it with Taciturne in 2019, a darker and more personal record, and rounded out the era with the companion EP Taciturne, les inachevés, gathering tracks left off the album.
His third album, Stamina, released in late 2020, continued his run of critically acclaimed work built on melancholic production and confessional storytelling. Songs such as «Helsinki», «Namek» and «Placebo» showcase his blend of raw introspection and technical wordplay, cementing his place as a distinctive figure in contemporary French hip-hop rather than a chart-driven mainstream act.
