Dei V

Dei V, born David Gerardo Rivera Juárbe in Carolina, Puerto Rico, is a trap and Latin urban artist who emerged in the early 2020s as part of a new wave of Puerto Rican trap. He began releasing music in 2020 under the Moneywayy label, then run by artists Yeruza and Yovngchimi, and issued his debut EP «Ying Yang» in 2021, which he later kept exclusively on YouTube.

His breakthrough came in 2023 with the single «¿Quién es Dei V?», whose music video racked up tens of millions of views and earned him a nomination for Best Trap Artist at the Premio Tu Música Urbano. That year he also released high-profile collaborations, including «Trending Remix» with Myke Towers and a remix of «Pacto» alongside Jay Wheeler, Anuel AA, Bryant Myers and Hades66, cementing his place among a new generation of Puerto Rican urban acts.

Dei V's sound draws on trap's dark, minimalist production while incorporating melodic hooks typical of contemporary Latin urban music. In 2024 he released a second EP, «Los Marcianos Vol. 1: Dei V Version», produced with Chris Jedi and Gaby Music, continuing to build his catalog through singles like «Toa», «VVS» and «Problema».
