DC THE DON

DC The Don, born Daijon Davis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a rapper and singer based in Los Angeles who rose through SoundCloud in the late 2010s. He attended Chino Hills High School, where he was a teammate of the Ball brothers, and built an early following with genre-blending records that fused rap, pop-punk and R&B influences.

His catalogue began with early SoundCloud releases and the EP Halloween on 47th St. in 2017, which racked up millions of streams. He followed with additional projects produced largely by Izak and Trademark, before releasing the singles series DC Fridays in 2019 and his debut studio album, Come As You Are, in 2020, later reissued as a deluxe edition.

DC The Don is known for a moody, melodic sound that draws on emo and alternative textures as much as trap production, giving him crossover appeal with pop and rock audiences. He has collaborated with artists including Trippie Redd, Lil Mosey, Ugly God and Almighty Jay, and songs such as «Walk Thru», «GMFU» and «Red Light!» highlight his knack for hooky, genre-fluid songwriting within the SoundCloud-era generation of artists.
