Danju

Danju, born Johannes Lieb, is a German rapper from Stuttgart. He began taking an interest in music at around age 14, learning to play both trumpet and guitar, an early musical grounding that later fed into his production and songwriting sensibilities as a rapper.

He became widely known primarily through his collaborations with fellow Stuttgart rapper Cro, with whom he has made music since his youth; that partnership helped introduce him to a broader German hip-hop audience. His debut album, «Stoned ohne Grund», was released on April 8, 2016, and reached number 12 on the German charts, establishing him as a notable voice in the German rap scene of the mid-2010s.

In April 2017, Danju announced on Twitter that he was parting ways with his label, Chimperator Productions, going on to work as an independent musician and aligning himself with the Stuttgart rap collective Guzgang. His second studio album, «Tag 1», followed on July 26, 2019, continuing the laid-back, melodic style that runs through tracks like «X», «Meins», «California» and «Happy».
