Dan Romer

Dan Romer is an American music producer, songwriter, and film composer working out of Los Angeles. He rose to prominence in the early 2010s scoring independent films, most notably «Beasts of the Southern Wild», and went on to compose for Pixar's «Luca», Hulu's «Ramy», and Ubisoft's «Far Cry 5» video game.

Alongside his film and television work, Romer built a parallel career as a hit-making pop and country producer and co-writer, shaping polished, emotionally direct songs for mainstream artists. He co-produced A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera's Grammy-winning «Say Something» and worked on Shawn Mendes' «Treat You Better», records defined by warm, piano-driven arrangements and big, cathartic choruses.

His catalogue also includes soundtrack and folk-adjacent material such as «Keep Your Rifle by Your Side» and «Build a Castle», reflecting the Americana textures he first developed in film scoring.
