Craig Mack

Craig Mack was an American rapper born on 10 May 1971, who died on 13 March 2018. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s as one of the founding artists signed to Sean «Puffy» Combs's Bad Boy Entertainment label, helping to launch the imprint alongside The Notorious B.I.G. His breakout single, «Flava In Ya Ear», released in 1994, became a hip-hop anthem, and its remix — featuring The Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Rampage — is remembered as a landmark posse cut that helped introduce several future icons to a wider audience.

Mack's style combined a distinctive, laid-back flow with playful, rhythmic wordplay, and his debut album «Project: Funk Da World» showcased his versatility across tracks like «Get Down» and «Making Moves with Puff». Despite his early success, his career was soon overshadowed by the massive impact of The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut album «Ready to Die», and Mack's mainstream visibility faded in the years that followed, even as he continued recording and touring.
