Cosculluela

Cosculluela, born José Fernando Cosculluela Suárez on October 15, 1980, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, is one of the most recognizable voices in reggaeton. He started making mixtapes as a teenager with his brother before being discovered by producer Buddha, who helped him land a guest verse on Don Omar's compilation Los Bandoleros in 2005. His 2009 debut album, El Príncipe, reached the top of Billboard's Latin charts and was certified gold, establishing him as a major solo act rather than just a featured guest.

His sound blends melodic reggaeton with sharp, aggressive rap verses, a combination that has made him a favorite for both radio hits and battle-style freestyles. His follow-up, El Niño, produced hits like «Si Tú No Estás» and «No Piensas En Mí», cementing his reputation for hooks that stick alongside technically dense wordplay.

Over the years Cosculluela has built a catalog of collaborations across the Latin urban scene and remains active with newer tracks like «Madura» and «Categoría Cos», continuing to bridge the genre's earlier golden era with its more contemporary trap-influenced sound.
