Colter Wall

Colter Wall is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Saskatchewan, born June 27, 1995, known for a deep, weathered baritone voice that sounds far older than his years and for songwriting steeped in the traditions of classic country, folk and Western music. His work draws on outlaw country, cowboy balladry and prairie storytelling, often evoking the landscapes and working life of the Canadian and American West.

He first gained attention with the 2015 EP Imaginary Appalachia, followed by his self-titled debut album in 2017, which caught the attention of producer Rick Rubin. Songs such as «Kate McCannon», «Thirteen Silver Dollars» and «Sleeping on the Blacktop» showcase his spare, traditionalist approach, favoring stark acoustic arrangements and vivid narrative lyrics over contemporary country polish.
