Cochise

Cochise (Terrell Cox, born May 29, 1999) is an American rapper who first drew attention with a guest verse on DBangz' viral 2017 meme-rap track «LET A NIGGA SMASH». He released his debut mixtape PULP in 2018, followed by the collaborative EP Hijack with Lousho in 2019, gradually building a reputation within the SoundCloud-adjacent rap underground for offbeat, hook-driven tracks.

His solo single «Red Head» found renewed life when it went viral on TikTok, and his 2020 track «Hatchback» became his breakout hit, driving enough momentum for him to sign with Columbia Records that June. The song's warped, playful production and melodic-rap delivery are typical of his style, which blends internet-rap irreverence with catchy, hazy hooks.

Cochise released his debut studio album, Benbow Crescent, on May 7, 2021, further establishing him as part of the wave of young rappers who emerged from meme culture and viral internet moments into mainstream deals.
