Club Dogo

Club Dogo are an Italian rap trio formed in Milan in 2002, made up of rappers Jake La Furia and Guè Pequeno alongside producer Don Joe. The three had previously been part of the group Sacre Scuole and went on to become founding figures of the Dogo Gang collective. They emerged during a low point for Italian hip hop, when the genre had lost much of the mainstream attention it enjoyed in the 1990s, and helped bring rap back into the national spotlight through a raw, street-oriented sound built on Don Joe’s hard-hitting production and the sharp, aggressive delivery of the two MCs.

Over the years Club Dogo released a string of albums that shaped Italian rap, with tracks like «Nato Per Questo», «Tana 2000» and «C’era Una Volta In Italia» becoming touchstones of the scene. Songs such as «Puro Bogotà» and «All’Ultimo Respiro» showcase their combination of cinematic storytelling and blunt, unapologetic bravado, while «La Stanza Dei Fantasmi» and «Hardboiled (Sabotatori)» reflect a darker, more introspective side of their catalogue.

The group never officially disbanded, but after 2015 Jake La Furia, Guè Pequeno and Don Joe each focused on solo careers, all achieving significant individual success. In December 2023 they announced their reunion, and in January 2024 released the album Club Dogo, marking a return that reaffirmed their status as pioneers of modern Italian hip hop.
