City Girls

City Girls is an American hip-hop duo from Miami, Florida, composed of rappers JT and Yung Miami. Signed to Quality Control Music, they broke through with their blunt, unapologetic brand of female rap, built on hard-hitting braggadocio, sexually explicit lyrics and a distinctly Miami bounce influence.

The duo's profile rose sharply after their feature on Drake's «In My Feelings» in 2018 introduced their voices to a mainstream audience, coinciding with the release of their breakout single «Act Up». Their debut mixtape PERIOD and subsequent debut album Girl Code established a signature sound centered on confident, hook-driven verses about money, relationships and independence, with tracks like «Twerk» and «Where the Bag At» becoming club staples.
