Chronic Law

Chronic Law is a Jamaican dancehall artist from St. Thomas parish, the same area that produced Popcaan and Jah Cure. He emerged in the 2010s as part of a new wave of dancehall artists building on the genre's street-level storytelling tradition, often associated with the label «6ixx».

His music blends rap-influenced flows with dancehall rhythms, touching on themes of struggle, loyalty, betrayal, and personal growth in songs like «Corrupt», «Empty» and «Count My Blessings». His delivery is marked by a gruff, emotionally direct style that has made him one of the more recognizable voices among younger dancehall performers.

Over time Chronic Law has built a catalog that mixes hard-edged street anthems with more introspective, melodic cuts, reflecting dancehall's broader crossover with R&B and pop sensibilities. He remains an active figure in Jamaica's contemporary music scene.
