Christopher Jackson

Christopher Jackson is an American actor, singer and composer, best known to music audiences for originating the role of George Washington in Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton. His performances on the show's cast recording, including «Right Hand Man», «One Last Time» and the two «Cabinet Battle» tracks, brought his rich baritone to a massive global audience and made the songs staples of modern musical-theatre listening.

Before Hamilton, Jackson was already a respected figure in musical theatre, having played Benny in the original Broadway cast of In The Heights, another Miranda production, which connected him early to the show's blend of hip-hop, R&B and pop songwriting. That same stylistic mix—rap-inflected storytelling married to soulful vocal delivery—defines much of his recorded work.
