Chris Stapleton

Chris Stapleton is an American country and southern rock artist born on April 15, 1978, from Kentucky. Long before his solo breakthrough, he was a prolific Nashville songwriter, penning hits recorded by artists including George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker, Adele, and Tim McGraw. He also fronted the bluegrass band The SteelDrivers, releasing two albums before departing in 2010.

His solo career took off with the album «Traveller», which introduced his gravelly, soulful voice and a sound blending country, blues, and rock. Songs like «Tennessee Whiskey», «Broken Halos», and «Fire Away» became defining tracks of a rootsier, more traditional strand of country music that stood apart from the pop-leaning mainstream of the mid-2010s. His live shows and recordings often showcase his guitar work alongside his wife Morgane Stapleton's harmonies.
