About the artist
Chief Keef, born Keith Farrelle Cozart on August 15, 1995, is an American rapper and producer from Chicago's South Side, widely credited as a founding figure of drill music. He first gained local attention around 2011 with mixtapes The Glory Road and Bang, then broke through nationally with Back from the Dead and his debut studio album Finally Rich, which spawned hits like «I Don't Like» and «3Hunna».
His breakout single «Love Sosa» became a defining record of the early drill era, and his aggressive, ad-lib-heavy delivery and minimal, menacing production helped shape the sound of Chicago drill before it spread internationally, later influencing UK drill and beyond. Following Finally Rich, he released a steady stream of mixtapes including Bang 2, Almighty So, Back from the Dead 2, and Sorry 4 the Weight, developing a devoted underground following even as mainstream visibility fluctuated.
After a period of reduced output tied to label disputes, he returned in 2017 with Two Zero One Seven, continuing to release music independently and remaining an influential figure whose raw, hypnotic style left a lasting imprint on modern trap and drill artists.
