CHANGMO (창모)

Changmo, born Ku Chang-mo in 1994, is a South Korean rapper and producer who emerged from the country's amateur hip hop scene under the alias LUPE before establishing himself as a solo artist. In that early period he recorded tracks with future BTS leader RM, who performed at the time under the name Runch Randa, placing Changmo among the generation of underground rappers who fed into Korea's broader hip-hop boom.

He made his official debut with the album «M O T O W N» on March 18, 2016, establishing a sound built on smooth, often melodic trap production paired with a laid-back, confident flow. His music tends to favor mood and atmosphere over aggression, with tracks like «METEOR», «BAND» and «마에스트로 (Maestro)» showing his range from moody trap to more triumphant, hook-forward rap.

Songs such as «널 지워야해 (Erase You)» and «One More Rollie» highlight his ability to move between emotionally direct songwriting and flexier, trap-influenced material, while «아이야 (AIYA)» points to his continued evolution as both rapper and producer. As a self-produced artist, Changmo has remained a distinctive voice in Korean hip-hop, valued for craftsmanship as much as charisma.
