Chamillionaire

Chamillionaire, born Hakeem Seriki, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas, who became one of the leading voices of the mid-2000s Southern hip-hop movement. He rose to national prominence with the single «Ridin’», which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and became a cultural touchstone of the era.

After signing with Universal Records in 2005, Chamillionaire released The Sound of Revenge, which went platinum on the strength of «Ridin’», followed by Ultimate Victory in 2007. Legal disputes over his planned third album, Venom, led him to leave Universal in 2011 and continue independently through his own label, Chamillitary Entertainment, releasing a series of promotional EPs — Ammunition, Elevate, and Reignfall — to build toward a follow-up album, Poison.

His style, marked by rapid-fire flows, witty wordplay, and a knack for hooks, helped bring the sound of Houston’s rap scene, including its chopped-and-screwed influences, into the mainstream. Beyond music, Chamillionaire has been active as an entrepreneur, investing in a range of business ventures alongside his recording career.
