Capo (GBE)

Capo, born Marvin C. Carr, was a rapper from the South Side of Chicago and a member of Chief Keef's Glory Boyz Entertainment / Glo Gang collective. A childhood friend of Chief Keef and G Herbo, he emerged during the early-2010s drill scene that put Chicago's South Side on the national hip hop map, contributing to the raw, aggressive sound that defined the movement.

His debut mixtape, G.L.O.N.L. (Glory Life or Nothing Living), released in November 2013, established him within the Glo Gang roster alongside tracks like «Glo Gang Mafia» and «Chiraq». A sequel, G.L.O.N.L. 2, followed in January 2015, continuing the drill sound built on hard-hitting beats and street narratives about life in his neighborhood.

Capo's career was cut tragically short when he was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on Chicago's South Side in July 2015, at just 22 years old; a 13-month-old baby was also killed when the shooters' vehicle struck the child while fleeing. His death was a stark reminder of the violence that drill music often chronicled, and he remains remembered as part of the Glo Gang generation that shaped Chicago drill in its formative years.
