CAPO

CAPO, born Cem Anhan in Offenbach am Main, is a German rapper and the younger brother of fellow rapper Haftbefehl. He began appearing as a guest on his brother's tracks under the name «Capo Azzlack» before building a solo profile within Germany's street-rap scene, drawing on the same Frankfurt-area slang and gritty, dialect-inflected delivery associated with his brother's work.

After his 2013 debut album «Hallo Monaco» failed to match expectations, CAPO stepped back from music for several years before returning with «Alles auf Rot» in 2017, which entered the German charts in the top five. His single «Lambo Diablo GT», a collaboration with fellow rapper Nimo, became a major hit and went platinum, leading the two to release a full joint album, «Capimo», in 2019.

CAPO's music sits within the harder, trap-influenced end of German-language rap, built around minimal, bass-heavy production and blunt, unpolished storytelling. His partnership with Nimo remains one of the more commercially successful pairings in recent German rap.
