Cam

Cam, born Camaron Ochs, is an American country singer-songwriter raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, with family ties to a ranch in Oceanside that shaped her early love of country music. She trained extensively in choral singing as a child, including work with the Contra Costa Children's Chorus, and studied psychology at UC Davis before turning fully to songwriting, developing her guitar playing during time abroad in the Netherlands and a formative trip to Nepal.

Cam became known for bringing a contemporary, pop-influenced sensibility into country songwriting, standing apart from more traditional Nashville production while still rooted in classic country storytelling. Her breakthrough single «Burning House», built around a stark, vivid narrative and sparse arrangement, became a defining hit that showcased her ability to write emotionally direct, image-rich lyrics.

She has been recognized for her songwriting collaborations within and beyond country music, contributing to the genre's broader crossover with pop, and has continued to release material such as «Diane» and «Till There's Nothing Left» that expand on her introspective, narrative-driven style.
