Buba Corelli

Buba Corelli, born Amar Hodžić on September 22, 1989, in Sarajevo, is a Bosnian rapper known for his rapid-fire flow and prolific output within the Balkan hip-hop scene. He started out as a teenager in the Sarajevo collective G-Recordz and recorded his first track in 2004 with a friend, together forming the short-lived Corelli Duo. After a hiatus, he returned to music in 2009 and soon met fellow rapper Jala Brat, beginning a partnership that would define much of his career.

Together with Jala Brat, Buba Corelli released the EP «Sin City» and later the album «Pakt S Đavolom» in 2014, which produced regional hits like «22» and «Bez tebe». Their collaboration has continued for years and helped establish both artists as leading figures in Balkan trap and rap. Buba Corelli's biggest solo hit, «Balenciaga», has amassed tens of millions of views, cementing his reputation as a hitmaker beyond his duo work.

He has also found success in collaborations outside the Jala Brat partnership, most notably his duet with Maja Berović, «Pravo Vreme», one of the most-viewed songs in the region. Songs such as «Oh No», «Comfort», «Irina Shayk» and «Kim Kardashian» reflect his knack for catchy, pop-leaning hooks layered over hard-hitting rap verses, a combination that has kept him relevant across the shifting trends of Balkan urban music.
