Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt is an American singer-songwriter and slide guitarist born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway star John Raitt. She emerged from the early-1970s blues and folk revival scene, building her early reputation on raw, guitar-driven performances before becoming one of the defining voices of blues-inflected roots rock.

Her sound blends blues, country, R&B, and folk, anchored by expressive slide guitar work and a smoky, soulful voice capable of both grit and tenderness. After years as a respected but modestly selling artist, her 1989 album «Nick of Time» brought mainstream breakthrough and multiple Grammy Awards, followed by hits like «Something to Talk About» and the ballad «I Can’t Make You Love Me», which became one of her signature songs.
