The project was assembled by Tweedy Bird Loc alongside collaborators Redrum 781 and Ronnie Phillips, releasing music under the group's shared name rather than as a traditional band with a fixed creative identity.

Musically, the project sits within West Coast gangsta rap of the early-to-mid 1990s, delivering blunt, unapologetic street narratives that leaned directly into gang culture and rivalry rather than obscuring it, a marketing and artistic hook that was itself part of the controversy and appeal surrounding the release. Songs like «Piru Love», «Slob 187», and «Bangin' on Wax» reflect the gang-affiliated slang and imagery (Piru referencing Bloods sets, Slob a derogatory Crip term for Bloods, and vice versa) that ran throughout the material.
