Black M

Black M, born Alpha Diallo in Paris on December 27, 1984, is a French singer, rapper and songwriter of Guinean descent. He first rose to prominence as a member of the collective Sexion d'Assaut before launching a highly successful solo career, becoming one of the most commercially prominent figures in French rap and pop.

His debut solo album, «Les yeux plus gros que le monde», released in 2014 on the Wati-B label, was a major commercial success and produced hits such as «Sur ma route» and «Je ne dirai rien». Its songs blend rap with pop and R&B sensibilities, catchy hooks and radio-friendly production, a formula that helped Black M reach a broad mainstream audience in France far beyond core rap listeners.

His follow-up album, «Éternel Insatisfait» (2016), featured a wide range of guests including Shakira and Soprano, and cemented his status as one of France's biggest-selling artists of the era. He has continued releasing music since, including «Il était une fois» and «Alpha, Pt. 1», with songs like «Mme Pavoshko», «Ailleurs» and «C'est tout moi» further showcasing his blend of storytelling, melody and rap delivery.
