Białas

Białas, born Mateusz Karaś, is a Polish rapper and freestyler who first made his name as a battle MC, reaching the final of the WBW freestyle battle championship three times. He is best known for his long-running duo with Karol «Solar» Poziemski, with whom he built a reputation through relentless mixtape releases and high-profile rap beefs during the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Together with Solar, Białas became one of the founding forces behind SB Maffija, later evolving into the wider SBM Label, now home to a large roster of leading Polish rap artists. His debut mixtape, H8ME Mixtape Vol. 1, released in 2006, marked the start of a prolific career spanning both duo work and an active solo discography.

Białas's solo material, including songs like «Grill u Gawrona», «Ganges» and «Tracimy kontrolę», showcases a sharper, more melodic and often introspective side compared to his battle-rap origins, touching on fame, excess and personal struggle over dense, contemporary trap-influenced production. Tracks such as «Mali ludzie, wielkie nieba» and «Drift» further cemented his standing as one of the most consistently productive and commercially successful figures in Polish hip-hop, bridging the genre's underground battle culture with its modern mainstream sound.
