Benzino

Ray Benzino, born Raymond Leon Scott, is an American rapper, producer, and media personality from Boston, Massachusetts. He built his early reputation in the East Coast hip-hop scene of the 1990s as a member of the group Made Men before establishing himself as a solo artist and, notably, as a co-owner of The Source magazine, one of hip-hop's most influential publications.

Benzino is most widely known outside music industry circles for his prolonged and highly public feud with Eminem in the early 2000s, which produced a string of diss tracks including «Die Another Day (Flawless Victory) Eminem Diss #1» and «Rap Elvis (Eminem Diss Pt.2)». The conflict, which touched on race and authenticity in hip-hop, played out both on record and in the pages of The Source, blurring the line between artist and media executive.

Beyond the Eminem feud, Benzino has continued to release music steeped in East Coast rap tradition and has remained a visible figure through television appearances, including reality TV. He is also known as the father of hip-hop artists Chavo and Coi Leray, linking his legacy to a newer generation of performers.
