Azteca

Azteca, born Andrew-Edward Nedelcu in 1997, is a Romanian rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and sound engineer from Bucharest. He debuted in 2017 with the single «Maybach» and followed it later that year with his first EP, «Magul din Carpați», introducing a dark, moody take on trap that drew on Romanian underground rap alongside R&B and electronic textures.

Azteca was a founding figure behind the label Ocult Records, which he helped shape after meeting collaborator Ian through a mutual friend; alongside Ian and Freelook, the label became a home base for his releases and a hub for a wider circle of Romanian underground artists. His duo work with Ian, including tracks like «Mafiot», «Un nimeni», and «Buji», built a strong following, culminating in the breakout success of «Bag un blunt» in late 2018.

Across his catalog, Azteca has moved fluidly between moody trap, melodic hooks, and rap-driven tracks, reflecting genre tags spanning rap, pop, R&B, and electronic influences. Songs like «Nefiu», «Nebula», and «Haos (Remix)» show his range from atmospheric, introspective material to harder-edged collaborations, cementing his place as one of the notable voices to emerge from Bucharest's underground rap scene.
