He first gained visibility through a signing to Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder imprint, an outlet known for its experimental, boundary-pushing electronic and hip-hop rosters, which shaped his early exposure to genre-blending production.

After departing Brainfeeder, Azizi reinvented himself around a self-styled ‘Grim Reaper’ persona and pursued a fully independent path, launching his own multilabel operation called preHISTORIC.
