About the artist
Audio Push is an American hip hop duo from the Inland Empire region of Southern California, formed by Oktane (Julian Brown) and Pricetag (Larry Jacks). The pair built their name through a prolific mixtape run in the late 2000s and early 2010s, gaining attention with an energetic, party-oriented style before signing to Interscope Records in 2009 and scoring a breakout single with «Teach Me How to Jerk», which tied them to the West Coast jerk-dance movement of that era.
An official Interscope album never materialized, but Audio Push kept releasing music independently, eventually aligning with producer Hit-Boy's label Hits Since '87, which issued their singles «Shine» and «Reppin'». Their sound blends rap with R&B and pop sensibilities, favoring hooky, radio-ready production over dense lyricism, which helped them find placements and features across the hip hop mainstream.
The duo's debut studio album «90951», named after an Inland Empire ZIP code, arrived in 2016 following the «Stone Junction» EP, and they followed it with «Last Lights Left» in 2017. Alongside their own releases, Oktane and Pricetag also built a broader creative collective, B.O.W. Entertainment, supporting other artists from their region.
