ATO

ATO, born Ato Alexander Ampiah-Haagh in Oxford, England to a Danish mother and a Ghanaian father, is a British singer and songwriter working across rap, pop and R&B. His career took shape through an early collaboration with Irish producer and songwriter EDEN in 2014, which led to his debut EP, «Intro», released later that same year. He followed it in 2017 with a second EP, «Man Of The House».

ATO built his following largely online, releasing atmospheric, melodically driven tracks that blend sung hooks with rap cadences, in the vein of the UK's alternative pop-R&B scene of the mid-2010s. Songs such as «Notion», «Monster» and «94 Dreaming» showcase his introspective, moody songwriting and his ear for downtempo, bass-forward production.

Over time his catalogue expanded with releases like «HEAVEN», «Space», «Reflection», «2005» and «Darkroom», tracing a steady evolution from bedroom-pop beginnings toward more polished, emotionally direct songwriting. His work reflects the genre-blurring approach common among British artists of his generation, moving fluidly between rap, pop and R&B textures rather than settling into a single lane.
