Asian Doll, also known as Asian Da Brat, is a rapper from Dallas, Texas who emerged from the SoundCloud and mixtape scene in the mid-2010s. She built a following through a string of independent mixtapes marked by aggressive, brash delivery and unapologetic lyrics about street life, loyalty and female empowerment within a male-dominated trap scene. Her early work, including her debut mixtape, established the Barbie Doll Gang persona that became central to her image and brand.

Her profile rose further after she signed to Gucci Mane's 1017 Records, giving her exposure to a wider hip-hop audience and placing her within the label's roster of hard-edged Southern trap artists.
