Asco, born Asfa Allen, is a UK rapper from London Fields, Hackney, in East London. He rose to prominence through the UK street-rap ecosystem of the mid-2010s, with his music heavily championed by influential YouTube outlets like Link Up TV and GRM Daily, which helped carry him from the underground into wider recognition between roughly 2015 and 2018.

Before his solo breakthrough, Asco was active for years as part of the East London collective MashTown alongside Margs and Hypo, honing a style built on relatable, autobiographical storytelling and a gritty rags-to-riches narrative arc. His catalogue, including tracks like the «Straight Drop» series, «Cheque», «Money» and «So Litt», spans different tones and tempos, showing a willingness to shift sound rather than stick to a single formula — paired with the high-production music videos characteristic of the UK scene he came up in.

Asco has collaborated with a range of prominent UK artists, including Fredo, Kojo Funds and Skrapz, and maintained a frequent creative partnership with fellow East London artist J Spades. In September 2019, he was convicted of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs via a county lines network and received a lengthy custodial sentence, a development that intersected sharply with the street narratives long central to his music.
