About the artist
Pablo Arce, known as Arce, is a Spanish rapper from Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. His path into music followed a turbulent adolescence, including a stint in a youth correctional facility, an experience that pushed him toward writing as an outlet. After his release he built a home studio and began releasing music independently, starting with the free mixtape «Polvo de Ángel» in 2008.
Throughout the 2010s Arce steadily built a reputation through mixtapes such as «Antes Mendigo que Madero», «Perro Viejo» and «21 gramos», which brought him a growing online following and made him a fixture on major Spanish festival lineups. His raw, autobiographical style, drawing on his own struggles with drugs and the justice system, set him apart within Spain's rap scene as an artist whose credibility came from lived experience rather than image.
In 2018 Arce signed with BMG and released a string of singles that racked up tens of millions of streams ahead of his album «Pedigrí» (2019), recorded between Miami and Madrid with a roster of established producers. The record marked his transition from underground mixtape circulation to a more polished, major-label sound while retaining the confessional edge that had defined his earlier work.
